Do we need to book a table, or can we just walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome and we keep seats back for them, but Friday and Saturday evenings fill up quickly. If you have a group of six or more, or you're coming for a tasting, book ahead so we can hold a table for you.
How many beers and gins do you actually have on at any one time?
It changes week to week. We usually pour eight to ten draught lines alongside a fridge of cans and bottles, and the gin shelf sits somewhere between thirty and forty bottles. The board behind the bar is always current.
Can I try a few things before committing to a full pint or a double?
Yes. Ask for a taster of any draught beer and we'll pour you a small one at no charge, up to a sensible number per visit. For gin, we'll happily talk you through the options before you choose.
Do you serve anything other than beer and gin, and is there food?
We keep wine, cider, soft drinks and a couple of alcohol-free options behind the bar. Food is a short menu of bar snacks and sharing boards rather than full meals, so if you're after dinner, plan to eat before or after.
Are children and dogs allowed in the bar?
Well-behaved dogs are welcome throughout, and we keep a bowl of water by the door. Children are welcome earlier in the day until early evening, provided they stay seated with you and the bar isn't at capacity.
Can you host a birthday, work do or private tasting?
We take bookings for group tastings and small private events, subject to availability. Tell us your date, rough numbers and what you'd like to drink, and we'll come back with what we can offer rather than a fixed package.
